1. The  Foundations Workshop and Practice Options can be scheduled to fit the time and resources available in your organization.

2. Your course’s materials can be tailored to the writing your writers do.  I’ll collect work-based writing samples from the participants, and use those to create materials for your group’s “Foundations” Workshop. This way, your workshop will focus on the kind of writing tasks and topics common in your organization.

3. When everyone on a team knows the same techniques, they can collaborate more easily. Writers share a mindset about writing, a vocabulary for talking about writing, and a set of writing techniques. This means they can work together efficiently on complex documents, and can effectively serve as editors for one another. And if you’re in charge, you’ll be able to pinpoint where your team’s documents need improvement, and communicate your critiques effectively.

4. Since participants are all from the same organization, they don’t have to worry about confidentiality. When they work together in practice groups, they can freely share their current writing work and benefit from group advice.
